A single game engine chart is used to decide the action on the field. The play outcomes are contextualized to each decade and each category of hitter. The same game engine chart is used for roster sheets and individual cards.
Pitcher-Hitter Interaction
Pitcher-hitter interaction in On Base Baseball is realistic and seamless. Look first at the pitcher card (or chart). If there is an outcome then take the outcome. Otherwise, move to the batter card (or chart) for the final result of the at bat. Pitchers can negatively or positively affect each play in the game.

Bought [the 1960s] roster sheet set because I had previously purchased the 1960 World Series cards. All players included plus batter ratings for pitchers. Just write in ratings on scoresheet, use the online dice roller, and you are all set. Smooth play, flow, and fun.

I was thrilled to find that each pitcher who batted had their own individual batting card as well as their own pitching card. With the results being on each card, there is no chart lookup. I can't wait to buy further seasons.
